About "The Director" Film Scanner

“The Director” is a motion picture film scanner, capable of scanning 35mm film and 16mm film in 4:3, 16:9 and 1.85 aspect ratios at 2K resolutions (2048x1536, 2048x1152 or 2048x1107).

The motion picture film scanner employs ultra stable, high intensity RGB LEDs in an integrating sphere arrangement, directing the light into a CCD sensor optimized for 2K full-aperture.
It generates pin-registered DPX file scans of 35mm (negative, intermediate, color or B&W) at unprecedented speeds and quality.

“The Director” simultaneously creates a ‘work-print’ file, in the media format of your choice, for direct use in your edit system.

This system is perfect for DI, effects, archival and restoration.
